Our story

A small room with a generous spirit.

Banalo began with one espresso machine, a secondhand oven, and a belief that a good café can become part of the rhythm of a neighbourhood.

Sunlit Banalo café interior

Since 2019

Built slowly, one regular at a time.

The first Banalo menu fit on a single sheet. There were two coffees, three things from the oven, and whatever lunch the market inspired that morning.

The menu has grown, but the idea has not. We still buy carefully, cook in small batches, and make space for the people who come through our door.

This is demo copy, intentionally organised so a future café owner can replace the story without rebuilding the page.
